Boudoir Rush

Today is D-Day (deadline day) for many boudoir photographers out there.  It’s the day before Valentine’s Day and there are many last-minute clients out there who are waiting anxiously for that special present to be ready.  Even though everyone does try to stay ahead of schedule and get things ordered on time, things can always get backed up, albums can be out of stock or on back order or the UPS guy doesn’t come to your door at his regularly scheduled time.  All of these little things will be noticed a lot more when you are working on a deadline!

It is easy to let the stress of it all get to you.  Just remember to sit back for a moment, even with all of the craziness going on around you and take at least 5 minutes to yourself every hour!  Step outside, breathe some fresh air, stretch out and regroup your thoughts.  When it comes to deadlines and crunch time it is easier to make mistakes, mixing up the CD’s can happen, if you use those little self stick albums you can put the photos in wrong, so even though all of this must get done as soon as possible, it still has to be done right!

Boudoir photographers love taking care of their clients, just remember to take care of yourself too!  Happy photographer, happy clients, Happy Valentine’s Day Eve! 🙂
